// I think I could make a viable business out of creating new headphone designs, the ideas are limitless, really. Is anyone using feathers yet? I’ll leave it to the pros though, like Kitori. Apparently the Japanese word means bird and their fresh designs come in 7 themes – natural, pop, sweet, animal, cool, vivid and delicious. I like the new xxx design, debut, ichigomilk and boredom, see them all in their creative scrapbook here.

// Earth day will globally celebrate their 40th Anniversary this April 22nd, more through Twitter and facebook. This day started as a 60′s movement that morphed into a grassroots cause that eventually became the 1st official celebrated day in the US in the 70′s. I’m not going to commit myself to ‘one million acts of green’ this year but I’ll contribute in own way and will continue to hope that brands will focus on reduction of consumer packaging of goods.
// PUMA found a way to reduce waste by ditching their shoeboxes, replacing them with enviro-friendly bags. The reinvention of the shoebox was created by leading industrial designer Yves Behar, founder of fuseproject. The new package boasts 65% less cardboard, no tissue paper, laminating printing it’s non-woven (which means less waste). The new look was unveiled this week at the Design Museum in London, England. Yep, it’s a clever little bag, and apparently not the last sustainability project for PUMA…good stuff. I find one of my favorite things I anticipate when buying fresh, new shoes, is opening the package slowly to reveal my buy again and take in the scent (unused and preferably not plastic).
// I’ve just returned from Las Vegas and apologize for the lack of attention the site hasn’t received lately…yikes. The Viral Factory introduces Samsung’s HD 3D LED-TV capability in funny depictions of old masters turned three-dimensional in this spot. I enjoyed the 3D view of the Mona Lisa and can’t wait to see all upcoming brand ads for the latest in television and 3d technology this year. Enjoy
